Author of Sticky Notes
In Collaboard, you can display the author of a sticky note directly on the whiteboard. This makes it easier to see who originally created a sticky note, which can be especially useful during workshops, brainstorming sessions, retrospectives, or collaborative planning.
What does "Author" mean?
The author of a sticky note is the person who originally created it.
If another person later edits or modifies the sticky note, the author does not change. The author always remains the person who first created the sticky note.
How to display the author
The author is not displayed on sticky notes by default.
To display it:
- Select the sticky note.
- Open the sticky note toolbar.
- Click the Author icon.
- The name of the person who created the sticky note is displayed on the sticky note.
You can use the same option to hide the author again.

Good to know
Displaying the author does not affect the content or ownership of the sticky note. It simply provides additional information about who originally created it.
This can help teams understand where ideas originated while still allowing everyone with the appropriate permissions to collaboratively edit and develop the content.
