Create and manage organization templates
Provide templates for your entire team or organization
With organization templates, you can create templates that are available to all members of your organization. This feature is especially useful for providing standardized workshops, meeting formats, or work processes for your entire team.
Categories for organization templates
Before you can create organization templates, categories must first be created.
Admins, such as subscription owners and managers, can create these categories in the settings.

A template category consists of a category name and a rank. The rank defines the sorting order in which the template categories are displayed.

Create organization templates
Note:
Organization templates can be created by owners and managers of an Advanced or Enterprise subscription.
To create an organization template from objects on a board:
- Select the objects on your whiteboard that you want to save as a template.
- Open the three-dot menu of the selection.
- Click Save as template.
- Enter a name for the template.
- Under template availability, select Organization – available to members of your organization.
- Select a suitable category.
- Click Save.
The template is now saved as an organization template and is available to all members of your organization in the template library.

Alternatively you can save a complet board as an organizational template. Click on the three-dots menu on the upper right toolbar and click on Save project as template. Then proceed as described above and select organizational template and your category.

Edit an organization template
Existing organization templates can be managed in a similar way to personal templates.
To edit an organization template:
- Open the template library in the left toolbar.
- Go to the Organization templates section.
- Click the three-dot menu on the template you want to edit.
- Select Edit template.

When editing, you can change the following settings:
- Template name
- Template category

Important:
The content of the template itself cannot be edited directly. To make changes to the structure or the objects included in the template, first add the template to a board, adjust the content, and then save it as a new template.
If the original template is no longer needed, it can also be deleted using the three-dot menu.
