# How can I change the email address of a user in my team?

## Describtion of how to change the e-mail address of a user. For example, in case of a name change.

Create a new user with the changed email address. [How to add user?](https://help.collaboard.app/how-to-add-users-to-my-team?hsLang=en)

As soon as this is completely created and registered, the user logs in with his old data in the first step and transfer his already created projects to the "new user" by inviting him to the projects.

Now he can make the "new user" to the projekt owner and the old user can be deleted.
