Default settings for sticky notes

Default settings for sticky notes help ensure consistency and save time when working on a board. Instead of formatting each note individually, new sticky notes automatically follow your preferred colors, fonts, sizes, and layout.

Default sticky note settings are user-specific, not board-specific. This means each user can define their own preferences for sticky notes, independent of other users working on the same board.

These settings are applied when creating new sticky notes. You can find them under Settings → Default.

Default background color

Choose a default background color for sticky notes from a palette of predefined colors.
This color will automatically be used when new sticky notes are created and no color is selected.

Default font

Select the default font used for text on sticky notes (for example Segoe UI).

Text alignment

Define how text is aligned horizontally within sticky notes:

• Left

• Center

• Right

Vertical alignment

Define how text is aligned vertically within sticky notes:

• Top

• Center

• Bottom

Text style

Set the default text styling for sticky notes:

• Bold

• Italic

• Underline

Default font size

Choose the default font size for sticky notes.
The Auto option automatically adjusts the text size depending on the amount of content.

Shape

Define the default shape for sticky notes:

• Square

• Rectangle

Restore factory defaults

Reset all sticky note settings to the original system defaults.

Apply settings to existing notes

Use Apply to all existing notes to update sticky notes that are already on the board with the selected default settings. Attention: This action can't be undone.
