This article provides you with an overview of the technical requirements of Collaboard
The Collaboard web app is a browser-based application. As with all browser-based applications your device specification, operating system, choice of browser, and browser version can have a significant impact on your experience.
Collaboard is optimized for use on desktop computers, tablets, and large screen interactive displays.
Supported browsers
We recommend using a modern, up-to-date browser for the best experience when working with Collaboard.
- Chrome - v75.0 or newer
- Firefox - v68 or newer
- Edge - v18 or newer
- Safari - v13.1.1 or newer
- Safari Mobile - v13 or newer
Collaboard is regularly tested with and optimized for these browser versions. Collaboard should also work well in other, unlisted browsers too but we can’t guarantee that all the features will be available or the performance will be as good.
Device hardware requirements
Many devices are capable of accessing the internet but not all devices will be suitably powerful for running sophisticated browser-based applications such as Collaboard.
Please ensure that your device meets our minimum hardware requirements.

Performance factors
The performance of any browser-based application will be impacted by a number of factors beyond the influence of the application. The impact of these factors will vary between devices but will be more pronounced on lower-powered devices.
The following examples can all affect the performance of Collaboard:
- Applications running on your computer in the background (e.g. email client, word processor, video conferencing, music player)
- Number of browser windows and tabs you have open
- How frequently you switch between browser tabs
- Number of screens you use and their resolutions
- Stability and throughput of your network connection
- Your geographical location
- The number of other users connected to the board and what they are doing
- The complexity of the project
- If your device is running in power-saving mode
